Anyone familiar with the new Taleo system? I applied for a position about three months ago and have only received the one "thanks for submitting your profile" email. Under "My Jobpage", my draft submission is listed with job status listed as Active. Is this the same as being "under consideration"? Since I haven't heard anything further from Boeing, I am assuming I was not considered for the position, but yet kind of thrown off by the active status. Thanks for any helpful insights.
Your "pass due" credit can't be any higher then $ 7500.00 or it's sink and swim..
can you explain this a little more? Is it $7500 past due on accounts or does that mean accounts with balances over 7500 that are past due on payments ie mortgage/auto loan? Just got the dreaded FedEx letter and hoping to know how I should ready myself for the security call. Thanks!

Hello, Can someone please tell me how long it normally takes from the time you get an offer to when you have to complete the drug test? I know they give you some options in terms of days/times, but what's the window they allow for taking it? A few days? A week? THANK YOU!

Do any current employees here recall what sort of non-compete clause exists for hourly employees? It's been 10 years since I filled out that mountain of paperwork, and I honestly can't remember if there was one or what it stipulated. I'm trying to avoid asking company personnel at work directly because I don't want it to get out *right now* that I'm actively looking for other aerospace jobs. I've got my eye on one in a different state, serving in a different role, but I want to make sure what limitations I have, if any. Of course, once the actual ball is rolling, I'll be doing the proper thing with a notice and all. Just not looking to tip anyone off right now. Thanks!
Hello, My scenario is a bit different from most on this forum but still valid. I interviewed for a 3rd level position in Boeing and was told a week later by email that I wasn't chosen for that particular position, but I was encouraged to apply for what turned out to be the entry level for that same position. I applied and had another interview the Monday after. The interview went great and the manager told me how much they really liked me as to why I was invited back as well as other things and I sent my thank you email right after. That was almost a month ago. I called the hiring manager a couple weeks ago to follow up and he told me they're still interviewing. But it will be a month since I've interviewed and I'm worried! Should I move on or is this normal???? Patiently waiting...sort of
You just got to wait it out. But don't pester the hiring manager. Saying thank you and following up once is fine, but if they say they are doing more interviews, just chill. they've got your info and they will let you know if you got it. Just keep applying for other jobs. I applied for about 20 different jobs since the new year and interviewed for about 5 different jobs. I actually got 2 offers at the same time, both a level 3 and same salary. different locations, bothell and everett. I just had to take my pick. Now I'm waiting for my background check to finish, it's been a week since it was initiated. The main message here is to just chill and wait for 'the lazy B' to contact you. They will not tell you if you didn't get it... except for your job status will say 'no longer under consideration'. Just keep applying to as many positions as you want.
Mrasmussen I am currently fifteen days in the process only starting from accepting offer I am counting from. I am not patient I cannot wait to hear about all my results. So before friday ended 3/27/15 I called first advantage back ground check company for boeing . ...... So I don't know where you are getting you're information but this forum should be only for real true answers and opinions information like this is no good because it throws people off the way boeing hiring process works. Does anyone have insight on the way this thing is suppost to work because my current situation sounds different from other peoples.
Exceprt from my offer letter regarding background checks: " The Boeing Company conducts background checks, which include, but are not limited to, verification of past or current employment; references from previous or current employers, academic or certification verification; civil and criminal court checks; social security number verification; Internet searches, checks of Boeing files, and/or a credit history check (if required)." It just depends on the job you've been offered. I'm 5 business days in from when the background check was initiated. but not worried
Dear Sam, I finally heard back from Boeing , My start/orientation date will be on 5/15. thank you for your advices, are you working on Long beach Campus?
Hey Jackinthebox0710, Congrats on your hire and best of luck. I have a question, so I am in your situation 2 months ago. I got the offer letter, went online to tasks and signed everything. However there was no questionnaires over there, no referrals were requested, nothing at all. Just the disability and the protected veterans consent and that was it. So is there anything else that you get to be signed? What about the background check, do you get a questionnaire to fill before they run it? I am kind of confused, and I don't want to keep asking the recruiter about the process. Anyhow, any advice would be highly appreciated.
"Please read the following questions carefully before answering. Failure to answer truthfully and accurately will result in failing the background screening. (Note: California applicants may qualify for certain disclosure exemptions as described immediately below this section). Answer "Yes" if any of the questions below apply to you. Crimes include both misdemeanors and felonies. Some examples of crimes that must be disclosed include: Driving under the influence, minor in possession, reckless driving, negligent driving, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. Do you have any criminal charges pending against you or open arrest warrants? Are you under charges for a crime and ordered by a court to participate in a deferred prosecution program, such as accelerated rehabilitative diversion, stipulated order of continuance, alternative adjudication, suspended sentence, or any other court-created alternative sanction? Under your current name or any other name, have you ever been convicted of a crime other than a minor infraction or moving violation? List all misdemeanors and felonies if you answer "Yes" to the question above by clicking on the Add Criminal History link. * If yes, name used Date (mm/dd/yyyy) Court location Nature of offense Disposition" _ This should help you guys prepare to answer the questions so as to not get offers withdrawn!!!
Where is that part in the application? I've been reviewing my application for 3 hours and cant find it. Do get another application after you sign the offer? or what? I am worried about this part, I do not wanna miss adding anything.

Boeing Forum - Understanding Boeing's Taleo Employment System: I have a couple questions regarding the ...

I have a couple questions regarding the Boeing Taleo application process if you guys can help; In the Employment History Screen -> Duties Box, should this typically be the same as what is on your resume? i.e. is this portion screened by the Taleo system? And second, I've noticed this when applying for multiple positions: when I upload a resume for each one (clicking the 'resume' box on the attachments screen), the system will update all previous job submissions with only the latest resume I've uploaded. I checked this by going into the view/edit option for previous submissions and in the summary screen the associated attachment will be changed to the latest resume I uploaded. The resume I originally intended for that position is no longer selected (and no longer part of the application package submitted). It does this every time I apply for a new position with a new resume. How is it possible to apply to numerous positions with tailored resumes for each one when it keeps updating like this? Hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance.

I talked to a coordinator and they said same thing they been saying (no movement yet, will let us know when they resume). Not sure if this is something with the whole Union thing, if they're waiting for current contract workers time to finish or if this is how they normally do. I just don't see why we are being kept in the dark so much.
Ok thanks guess we all still waiting since it seems, we all haven't gotten a response maybe thats a good thing.....
